Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Equals Permanent Deficits in Mice

Researchers tested mice following mild traumatic brain injury for up to 90 days post injury. Their findings showed “these results demonstrate that persistent deficits in these tests of cognitive learning abilities and emergence of depression-like behavior in injured mice are similar to those reported in human post-concussion syndrome.” (Milman A, et al. 2005).
