No Malingering Detection in Wisconsin Card Sort Test

A large test of patients with mild traumatic brain injury and uninjured controls (Grebe, KW, 2009) showed that the widely used neuropsychological battery instrument tests, the “Wisconsin Card Sorting Test,” failed to detect patients who intentionally performed below their ability on the tests. The scores were ineffective in discriminating malingering from non-malingering mild TBI patients.
